BEACHES

Sabunike got its name from the word SABUN (in croatian language, a dalmatian dialect-sand)

Sandy beaches stretch 15 chilometres from the oldes town in Croatia, Nin, over Sabunike to the island of Vir. That is the area of the warm, shallow and long lagunas distant from the road and the city crowd.

The shallowness of the sea and the drawnest into teh coast provide the higher temperature than that of the open sea. It all contributes to the higher salinity and aerosalt.

In summer, the sea temperature is 22-27°C. Children can enjoy themselves in digging and building sandcastels, looking for sea shelves, sea strs, sea souvenirs ecc.
